What Is Respite Care?
Trust us for your respite care needs. Respite care is temporary inpatient care for people who are routinely cared for by family or others at home. It's assistance with peace of mind and sometimes a necessity. We offer the same amenities as we do for our other clients such as nursing care, social and spiritual activities, meals, housekeeping and laundry services. You can leave feeling secure knowing you are being replaced with twenty-four hour nursing care.

Who Needs Respite Care?
In today's mobile lifestyles, respite is a solution for families during relocation. Many others find it to be a solution for caregiver vacations or other out of town trips. Several clients come for short stays when their caregiver faces illness or surgery themselves. Sometimes families just need a break to focus on tasks and others at home. Whatever the reason, we will do our best to keep a familiar schedule and provide delivery of care that will help you or your loved one feel at home.

Who Pays For Respite Care?
Respite is not covered by Medicare or Medicaid. The Medicaid CAPS program covers respite in some instances but only to contracted facilities. Most respite care is paid with private funds and cost varies from facility to facility depending on room and board rate. Laundry, telephone and cable not included. Call your local Britthaven for more information.
